"in some african traditions, the wasp is a symbol of evolution, and control over our life circumstances.

aome native american indian tribal myths indicate the wasp was the creator of the earth, and was a symbol of order, organization and productivity.

ancient european lore recognizes the wasp as big part of pollination. here the wasp is symbolic of fertility as this genre of earth-based believers honored the wasp for its role in continuation of certain plants and flowers."

the "x" at the top is the elder futhark rune gebo (pronounced gay-boo -- I hear a lot of people calling it "ghee-bow"). key concepts of gebo (which literally translated is "gift") are gifts (of course), giving and taking taking, trade, sacrifice, process of exchange, balance, compensation, equilibrium, law of reciprocation, altruism, the gravity of equals and opposites, generosity, hospitality and honor.

the circles represent gestation and external growth.
